Agus Andrianto is a high-ranking officer in the Indonesian National Police, holding the rank of Police Commissioner General (three stars). He was born in Blora, Central Java, in 1967 and is the eleventh of twelve children, with parents Sukarsono and Sri Sudaryati. His father was formerly the sub-district head in Banjarejo, and Agus Andrianto is married to Evi Celiyanti. Agus received his education at SD Negeri 1 Tempelan Blora, SMP Negeri 1 Blora, and SMA Negeri 1 Blora. After completing his secondary education, he continued his studies at the Police Academy in 1989. His police career progressed with further education at PTIK (1995), SESPIM, and SESPIMTI (2012). Additionally, Agus pursued a master's degree at Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra. One significant moment that brought Agus into the public eye was his involvement in the handling of a religious blasphemy case concerning former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, also known as Ahok, in 2016. At that time, Agus held the position of Director of General Criminal Investigation (Tipidum) at the Criminal Investigation Agency of the National Police. His management of this case enhanced his national recognition. Agus's career continued to advance, and in 2017, he was transferred to the North Sumatra Regional Police, where he served as Deputy Chief. The following year, he was promoted to Chief of the North Sumatra Regional Police, a position he held for one year before being appointed as the Head of the Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam) of the National Police in 2019. Ultimately, in February 2021, Agus was entrusted with the role of Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Kabareskrim) of the National Police. During his tenure as the Head of Criminal Investigation Agency, Agus managed several high-profile cases, including the one involving former Head of Propam, Ferdy Sambo. Agus has been officially appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police, succeeding Police General Gatot Eddy Pramono, who retired at the end of June 2023. Agus is noted to possess a considerable amount of wealth. According to the 2022 State Officials Wealth Report (LHKPN), Agus's total assets amount to IDR 19.8 billion. The majority of his wealth consists of land and building assets valued at IDR 17.3 billion, located in several major cities such as South Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, and Tangerang.
