By srirahayu@insightinnews.com President Prabowo on Saturday (2/11) launched National Solidarity Movement (GSN) at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno Complex, Jakarta. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, several ministers and political parties’ elites reportedly attended the GSN declaration. On Saturday, November 2, 2024, President Prabowo unveiled the National Solidarity Movement (GSN) at the prestigious Indonesia Arena within the Gelora Bung Karno Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta. He was joined by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, alongside a distinguished assembly of ministers and party officials who graced the declaration event. In a show of unwavering commitment, thousands of GSN members pledged their allegiance to President Prabowo Subianto, vowing to support the government in its developmental endeavors with a focus on critical, objective, constructive, and productive approaches to problem-solving. The inception of the GSN was inspired by a proposal to transform the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) into a vibrant community organization. This visionary suggestion was articulated by Prabowo during a breaking of fast gathering with the TKN on March 25, 2024. The GSN aims to embrace individuals from diverse races, religions, regions, and backgrounds, fostering enduring connections that transcend the electoral period. During this momentous occasion, Prabowo also appointed Rosan Roeslani, the head of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN, to spearhead the National Solidarity Movement. The GSN envisions a united Indonesia, striving to consolidate significant ideas into tangible solutions that will propel both community welfare and national advancement. The primary objective of GSN is to formulate resolutions that can be executed by the government, either with its backing or through the resources of GSN itself. In discussing the term National Solidarity Movement, Rosan emphasized that National Solidarity transcends mere words; it embodies a unified concept. This notion of National Solidarity extends beyond the realm of post-election reconciliation; it is fundamentally about collaborative efforts aimed at advancing the welfare of Indonesia.
