State Owned Enterprise Minister Appointed Simon Aloysius Mantiri As Pertamina CEO

By ferry@insightinnews.com On Monday, November 4, 2024, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) executed a significant reshuffle in the leadership of PT Pertamina (Persero) during the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS). This transition involved the appointment of a new President Director and a revamped Board of Commissioners, poised to steer Pertamina into the future. The resolutions from the GMS, documented in SK-258/MBU/11/2024 and SK-259/MBU/11/2024, detail the dismissal and appointment of members of the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors of PT Pertamina (Persero). Notably, Mochamad Iriawan has been appointed as the President Commissioner, Dony Oskaria as the Vice President Commissioner, Raden Adjeng Sondaryani as an Independent Commissioner, and Simon Aloysius Mantiri as the President Director of Pertamina. Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), articulated that the appointment and dismissal of directors and commissioners within state-owned enterprises, including Pertamina, fall under the purview of the Government, represented by the Minister of BUMN. "The leadership transition within the company is a standard and expected process in accordance with existing regulations," Fadjar remarked. In the newly appointed Board of Commissioners, Mochamad Iriawan, now serving as the President Commissioner of Pertamina, is a retired high-ranking officer of the Indonesian National Police, who most recently held the position of Secretary of the National Resilience Institute (LEMHANAS). Dony Oskaria, currently the Vice President Commissioner of Pertamina, also serves as the Deputy Minister of BUMN. Meanwhile, Raden Adjeng Sondaryani, taking on the role of Independent Commissioner at Pertamina, previously held the esteemed position of Chairperson of the Trisakti University Petroleum Alumni Association. At the same time, Pertamina extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Nicke Widyawati and Mr. Ahmad Fikri Assegaf for their dedicated service as President Director and Independent Commissioner, respectively.
