Prasetyo Hadi was born in Ngawi on October 28, 1979. He began his education at SD Katolik Santo Yosef in Ngawi, subsequently continuing to SMP Negeri 2 Ngawi and SMA Taruna Nusantara in Magelang. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Forest Resource Conservation from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in 2006.

Prasetyo serves as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the 2019-2024 term, representing Commission II from the Gerindra Party. He represents the Central Java VI electoral district, which includes the areas of Magelang, Wonosobo, Temanggung, and surrounding regions. As a member of the Gerindra Party, he was appointed to the DPR in 2020 to replace Harry Poernomo, who resigned through a mid-term replacement (PAW).

In the upcoming 2024 elections, Prasetyo has once again put forth his candidacy for the DPR RI and successfully secured his position from the Central Java VI electoral district with a total of 105,580 votes.

Within Commission II of the DPR, Prasetyo is actively engaged in significant issues such as Regional Autonomy, Bureaucratic Reform, and Domestic Governance. As a senior cadre of Gerindra, he has also held the position of Chairman of the Organization, Cadre Development, and Membership at the Gerindra Party's Central Executive Board since 2008.

Although he rarely appears in public, Prasetyo Hadi wields considerable influence over various strategic policies within the Gerindra Party and is frequently consulted by Prabowo Subianto. Additionally, he has experience in the private sector, having served as a Commissioner at PT Sentra Strategis Indonesia and as the President Director of PT Tusam Hutani Lestari.

In the Wealth Report of State Officials (LHKPN) dated April 24, 2024, Prasetyo Hadi is recorded to possess assets amounting to Rp7,109,000,000 with no liabilities.

Hadi owns land and buildings valued at Rp3,300,000,000, covering an area of 1,000 m2/1,004.85 m2 in Bogor, which he acquired through his own efforts. His vehicle collection includes five cars, detailed as follows:


- Toyota Fortuner priced at Rp265,000,000

- Toyota Alphard valued at Rp325,000,000

- Honda GL 200 motorcycle costing Rp10,500,000

- Honda N (110A) C AT motorcycle priced at Rp3,500,000

- Toyota Fortuner VRZ valued at Rp355,000,000


Additionally, Hadi has cash reserves amounting to Rp2,850,000,000.
