On various occasions, AHY has encouraged the younger generation to synergize and collaborate in building Indonesia towards the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.
To realize his vision, AHY established The Yudhoyono Institute, an independent think tank founded on three pillars: Liberty, Prosperity, and Security. Subsequently, on March 15, 2020, during the Fifth Congress of the Democratic Party, AHY was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Democratic Party.
Since the beginning of his leadership as Chairman, AHY has initiated various significant efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic on a national scale, such as the "National Movement of the Democratic Party Against Corona" and the "National Movement of the Democratic Party Caring and Sharing," which were implemented nationwide to assist healthcare workers and the most socially and economically affected communities. He also spearheaded initiatives to support small and medium enterprises impacted by the global pandemic through the "National Movement of the Democratic Party for MSME Development" and ensured that children had access to the internet for online learning through the "National Movement of the Democratic Party for Free Wi-Fi."
