The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) of Indonesia has achieved a budget efficiency of Rp 3.84 trillion from an initial budget of Rp 7.73 trillion. Ismail, the Secretary General of Kemkomdigi, stated that following adjustments, the ministry has realized a budget efficiency of 49.57 percent for the 2025 budget. This adjustment aligns with Presidential Instruction No. 1 of 2025 and the Finance Minister's Circular No. S-37/MK.02/2025 regarding spending efficiency for ministries and agencies. "As a result of the adjustments, Kemkomdigi has achieved a budget efficiency of Rp 3.84 trillion, which is 49.57 percent of the 2025 budget, including a pure budget of Rp 503.28 billion," Ismail mentioned during a meeting with Commission I at the DPR RI building in Central Jakarta on Thursday (February 13, 2025). He added that the budget includes Rp 519.46 billion from non-tax revenue, Rp 773.25 billion from foreign loans, and Rp 2.04 trillion from public service agencies.

He noted that several priority programs need to be reorganized to enhance public services at Kemkomdigi. These include communication infrastructure, base transceiver stations (BTS), internet access, control of negative content, digital talent scholarships, and master's and doctoral scholarships, as well as the National Data Center (PDN). "We are coordinating with the Ministry of Finance regarding the priority programs that may be affected by this efficiency," he said. Furthermore, Ismail indicated that Kemkomdigi is working on strategies to ensure that digitalization programs that directly impact the community continue to operate efficiently.

During the same meeting, Ismail also requested additional funding for the completion of the PDN being constructed in Cikarang. "This includes an additional budget request of Rp 280 billion from foreign loans for the completion of the PDN project in Cikarang, which will be submitted to the Finance Minister," he concluded.
