PDI-P Announces The Dismissal Of Jokowi, Gibran, And Bobby

PDI-P has officially expelled the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and North Sumatra gubernatorial candidate Bobby Nasution from the party. The Chairman of the PDI-P Honorary Board, Komarudin Watubun, announced that Jokowi's expulsion is detailed in Decision Letter (SK) number 1649/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024. "Considering and so on, remembering and so on, paying attention, deciding, establishing, to impose an organizational sanction of expulsion on Joko Widodo from PDI-P membership," Komarudin stated on Monday (December 16, 2024). He noted that the decision was made on December 14, 2024, and signed by PDI-P Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri and Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto.

For Gibran and Bobby, their expulsions are recorded in SK number 1650/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024 and 1651/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024, both established on December 4, 2024. The letters also prohibit Jokowi, Gibran, and Bobby from engaging in activities or holding positions under the party's name. "They are prohibited from conducting activities and holding any positions on behalf of PDI-P," Komarudin explained. "From the issuance of this expulsion letter, the DPP PDI-P has no connection and is not responsible for anything done by Jokowi," he added. Komarudin also mentioned that the DPP PDI-P will not be accountable for the actions of Gibran and Bobby in the future.
