Jakarta Acting Governor: Minimum Provincial Wage For 2025 At IDR5,396,761

The Acting Governor of Jakarta, Teguh Setyabudi, announced that the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) for Jakarta in 2025 will increase by 6.5 percent, reaching Rp 5,396,761. This adjustment is based on the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 16 of 2024 regarding the determination of the minimum wage for the year 2025. "Thus, the UMP for Jakarta in 2025 will be Rp 5,396,761," stated Teguh during his visit to SDN 09 Kebon Kosong in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

This UMP figure applies to workers or laborers with less than one year of service. It is noted that the UMP for Jakarta was Rp 5,067,381 in 2024, indicating an increase of Rp 329,380 for the upcoming year.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto, had announced a national minimum wage increase of 6.5 percent for 2025. This national increase will serve as a guideline for the Wage Council at the provincial or district/city level when determining sectoral minimum wages.
