Anis Matta Elected As Chairman Of Gelora Political Party

Anis Matta has been officially elected by acclamation as the Chairman of the Gelombang Rakyat Indonesia Party (Gelora) for the 2024-2029 term. This decision was made during the First National Conference (Munas I) of the Gelora Party held on Sunday, December 8, 2024. Anis was the sole candidate during the election process for the chairman position. In response to the collective decision made at Munas I, Anis expressed his readiness to lead Gelora for the next five years.

He also extended his gratitude to all participants of the Munas for placing their trust in him as the sole formateur responsible for leading and organizing the Gelora administration for the 2024-2029 term. "As this Munas decision is a collective resolution, I once again urge all of you to continue collaborating fully to achieve the aspirations that led to the establishment of the Gelora Party," Anis Matta stated in a written statement, as quoted on Monday, December 9, 2024.

Anis plans to completely restructure the Gelora administration for the 2024-2029 term. He also intends to establish supporting wing organizations during his five-year leadership.

Furthermore, Anis indicated that there would be changes in the nomenclature within the organizational structure. For instance, the National Leadership Council (DPN) will be renamed the Central Leadership Council (DPP). "We will soon change the name of the DPN to DPP. Meanwhile, the MPN and the Party Court, which have been separate entities, will be integrated into the DPP," Anis remarked.

The organization structure of the DPP Gelora for the 2024-2029 term is expected to be finalized by the end of December 2024. "We are striving to complete everything before the New Year celebrations, so that only the administrative work of drafting the Articles of Association and Bylaws remains," Anis added. "God willing, on January 7, 2025, the new administration will be submitted to the Ministry of Law for registration," he concluded. (reza@insightinnews.com)
