The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta has completed the vote tally for the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. The results indicate that the pair numbered 3, Pramono Anung and Rano Karno (Si Doel), received the highest number of votes, totaling 2,183,239, which accounts for 50.07% of the votes.
The announcement of the tally results was made by the Chairman of KPU DKI, Wahyu Dinata, at the Sari Pacific Hotel in Central Jakarta on Sunday, December 8, 2024. The official declaration followed the completion of vote recapitulation by KPU in six cities and regencies within Jakarta, namely Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, South Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands Regency.
Initially, KPU Jakarta presented the recapitulation results from each city and regency. Subsequently, the commission proceeded to announce the provincial-level recapitulation results.
Prior to the official endorsement of the recapitulation results, KPU Jakarta provided an opportunity for witnesses from the candidate pairs to express their opinions or report any specific incidents. A witness from the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair raised particular findings concerning issues at polling station 08 in Pinang Ranti, East Jakarta, as well as the low voter turnout in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
Additionally, a witness representing the Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana pair expressed objections and noted that they would not sign the recapitulation minutes. In contrast, the witnesses for Pramono-Rano indicated that they had no objections and commented on the statements made by the RK-Suswono witness.
This led to the RK-Suswono witnesses walking out of the meeting. KPU Jakarta confirmed that this incident would be duly recorded.
