PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri will reduce its airfare during the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holiday season. This decision follows the issuance of Minister of Transportation Decree Number Km 150 of 2024, which has implemented a policy to lower the fuel surcharge on the fares for domestic scheduled air transport in the economy class. The President Director of TransNusa, Bayu Sutanto, indicated that this policy aligns with the government's efforts to decrease domestic airfare.
"The anticipated reduction in ticket prices, projected to reach 10 percent, will encompass several cost components, including the fuel surcharge, PJP2U, PJP4U, and adjustments to avtur prices at various airports. Additionally, TransNusa will offer discounts during specific flight periods throughout the holiday season, which can be accessed on transnusa.co.id or through online travel agencies and other travel agents," he stated.
Specifically, the reduction in the fuel surcharge will amount to 8 percent, decreasing from the previous 10 percent to just 2 percent. This fare reduction will be applicable for ticket sales from November 28, 2024, to January 3, 2025, for flights scheduled between December 19, 2024, and January 3, 2025. "Through this policy, TransNusa aims to facilitate travel for the public during the year-end holiday period while ensuring the sustainability of operations and the quality of flight services," Bayu added.
Here are the details of the fuel surcharge price reduction for TransNusa routes:
- CGK-DPS fare: reduced from Rp 135,000 to Rp 27,000
- CGK-YIA fare: decreased from Rp 80,000 to Rp 16,000
- DPS-MDC fare: lowered from Rp 184,000 to Rp 36,000
- SOQ-MDC fare: diminished from Rp 124,000 to Rp 25,000
