Rizwan Alamsjah, the organizer of the Gaikindo Exhibition, stated that the new location at ICE BSD has successfully attracted a large crowd, unlike last year’s event at JCC Senayan. "The enthusiasm of visitors is clear; by Friday, over 100,000 people had attended, surpassing last year's 80,000," Rizwan noted.
He explained that the goal of GJAW is to boost the automotive industry’s performance by the end of the year. Regarding transaction data, Rizwan mentioned that it is still being calculated. "We are still gathering data on transactions during the exhibition," he added. The organizers received a lot of positive feedback from both exhibitors and visitors. The test drive area is spacious with many vehicle options, eliminating long waits.
"GJAW will be held again at the end of next year in the same location. We hope to see more participants and more events next year," Rizwan said. The exhibition also featured awards for cars and motorcycles, including categories for conventional, hybrid, and electric vehicles. Here are the award winners for GJAW 2024: Favorite Car SUV 5-seater: Suzuki Jimny, Favorite Car SUV 7-seater: BMW X5, Favorite Passenger Car MPV: Lexus LM500h.
