Heru Budi Appointed As MRT Jakarta President Commissioner

The General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has appointed former Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, as the President Commissioner. Heru Budi officially takes on this role starting November 2024. "Currently, Heru Budi Hartono serves as the President Commissioner of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) since November 2024," as stated on the jakartamrt.co.id website.

Heru Budi Hartono is an Indonesian bureaucrat who served as the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta from October 17, 2022, to October 17, 2024. He has also been the Head of the Presidential Secretariat since July 17, 2017. Before that, he was the Head of the Regional Asset Management Agency of DKI Jakarta from 2015 to 2017.

Heru has held several commissioner positions, including Commissioner of PT Bank Tabungan Negara from 2019 to 2022, Commissioner of PT Bank DKI from 2015 to 2018, and President Commissioner of PT Delta Jakarta Tbk. from 2014 to 2016.

Recently, the Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, replaced Heru Budi as the Head of the Presidential Secretariat with Major General TNI Ariyo Windutomo on Friday (November 29). After stepping down as Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Heru stated that he has been assigned as a special staff member to the Minister of State Secretary. "[As what] Special Staff to the Minister of State Secretary," said Heru after the inauguration at the Krida Bhakti Building in Central Jakarta on Friday (November 29). During the same event, Minister Prasetyo Hadi mentioned that Heru would not be limited to one area of work.

"With his experience in the Presidential Secretariat, his experience accompanying President Jokowi, and his knowledge as Acting Governor, he has a lot to offer. We still need him to continue serving in the Ministry of State Secretariat," Prasetyo said.
