Saturday, 30 Nov 2024

Major General Kosasih of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) was inaugurated as the Military Secretary to the President on Friday morning, November 29, 2024. The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, at the Krida Bakti Building in Central Jakarta. A total of 25 officials were appointed, including Kosasih. Additionally, Setya Utama was appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat, and Major General Ariyo Windutomo was designated as the Secretary to the President within the Ministry of State Secretariat.

Prasetyo explained that the appointments of the new officials were necessitated by adjustments and the merging of functions.

One significant merger occurring within the current government is the integration of the Cabinet Secretariat (Setkab) under the State Secretariat (Setneg). "Today’s inauguration is primarily due to the adjustment of functions, specifically the merging of the Cabinet Secretariat under the State Secretariat. Consequently, this leads to rotations and assignments," Prasetyo stated at the Krida Bakti Building in Central Jakarta on November 29, 2024.

He further noted that rotations and appointments are commonplace within the realm of public service and the Civil Service (ASN). This process is part of career development, refreshing personnel, and enhancing competencies.
