Komdigi Minister Appoints Molly Prabawaty As Acting Directorate General Of KPM

The Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, has appointed Molly Prabawaty as the Acting Director General of Public Communication and Media (KPM) at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. "Yes, it is correct. Based on the Order of Appointment No: 2186/M.KOMDIGI/KP.01.06/11/2024, signed by Ms. Meutya Viada Hafid, the Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, on November 25, 2024, I have been designated as the Acting Director General of Public Communication and Media," stated Molly on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

The Directorate General of KPM is a new nomenclature for the Directorate General of Information and Public Communication, established under Presidential Regulation No. 174 of 2024 concerning the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs.

The previous position of Director General of Information and Public Communication was held by Prabu Revolusi, who has a background in journalism. Furthermore, Meutya indicated that the appointed Acting Directors General will serve in their roles until definitive officials are appointed.

"I do not remember each one individually, but it seems that the appointments are complete. This is a temporary arrangement for the Acting positions, pending the official appointments," Meutya remarked on Thursday, as reported by Antara. According to the official website of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, the Minister has appointed five Acting Directors General to fill leadership roles across five directorates general, in accordance with Presidential Regulation No. 174 of 2024 regarding the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs.

The five Acting Directors General include Mira Tayyiba, Acting Director General of Digital Government Technology, who also serves as the Secretary General of the Ministry; Ismail, Acting Director General of Digital Infrastructure; Wayan Toni Supriyanto, Acting Director General of Digital Ecosystem; Alexander Sabar, Acting Director General of Digital Space Oversight; and Molly Prabawaty, Acting Director General of Public Communication and Media.
