Huawei Announces Official Return By Planning To Launch Pura 70 Ultra In Indonesia

Huawei has officially announced its return to the smartphone market in Indonesia, following a hiatus since 2022. The company is re-entering the Indonesian market with the flagship smartphone, Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, which is scheduled for release on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Prior to the official launch, Huawei will open pre-orders for the Pura 70 Ultra from December 5 to December 11, 2024.

The Pura 70 Ultra will be available at a starting price of IDR 17,999,000, offered in Black and Green color options. "Huawei's return to the Indonesian smartphone market with the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra marks a significant moment for us. We are optimistic that the presence of the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra will be well received and serve as a foundational step towards introducing more Huawei smartphone lines in Indonesia in the future," stated Huiler Fan, Country Head of Huawei Device Indonesia. Huiler Fan emphasized that the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is designed to meet users' needs for devices that enhance productivity, creativity, and modern lifestyles, featuring superior photography capabilities, a stylish design, and reliable performance.

The launch of the Pura 70 Ultra signifies Huawei's comeback to the Indonesian smartphone market after a two-year absence. The last smartphone released by Huawei in Indonesia was the Huawei P50 Pro, which debuted in February 2022. Additionally, the Pura 70 Ultra marks the introduction of the Pura series in Indonesia.

The "Pura" series was officially launched in April 2024, serving as a rebranding of Huawei's flagship P series. Several models from the Huawei P series have previously been available in Indonesia, including the P30 series introduced in April 2019 and the P50 Pro released in February 2022. The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra stands out as the most advanced model within the Pura 70 series. This smartphone was unveiled in China in mid-April 2024, alongside the standard Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, and Pura 70 Pro Plus. Subsequently, the Pura 70 series made its global debut in May 2024. After a six-month interval, one of its models is set to arrive in Indonesia.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra features a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,844 x 1,260 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. The screen includes a punch hole that accommodates a 13 MP front camera. This smartphone is equipped with a triple-camera system on the rear, which consists of a 50 MP main camera (with OIS) featuring a 1-inch sensor and a retractable lens.
