President Asks The 18 National Strategic Projects To Be Completed This Year

President Prabowo Subianto has urged the completion of 18 National Strategic Projects (PSN) by the end of 2024. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that the leader of Indonesia is advocating for the timely completion of these projects in accordance with the targets set by the previous administration.

"The President has directed that the national strategic projects scheduled for completion in 2024-2025 should be pursued vigorously. It is planned that 18 projects will be completed this year, while an additional 30 projects are expected to be finalized by 2025," he informed reporters at the Presidential Palace complex on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Furthermore, Airlangga elaborated that the total investment achievement for the PSN has reached IDR 242.5 trillion, resulting in the creation of 151,260 jobs across 394 companies.

Specifically, for the third quarter of 2024, the investment performance amounted to IDR 68.43 trillion, employing 34,169 individuals. According to Airlangga, the President's directives regarding these economic zones should continue to be promoted, advanced, and processed to ensure ongoing investment inflow.

This is particularly relevant following Prabowo's recent visits to six countries: China, the United States, Peru, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and Abu Dhabi, which have attracted several investors, including those interested in data centers and other sectors. "Thus, various investors are to be encouraged. The President has instructed that these programs be continued, and any new investments will be discussed in greater detail," concluded Airlangga.
