The construction business value in Indonesia has reached Rp 423.4 trillion by the first semester of 2024, representing 12.73 percent of the total state budget of Rp 3,325.1 trillion. This growth indicates a positive trend in the national construction services sector. Irfan Fauzie, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at NS BlueScope Indonesia, noted that this positive trend offers significant hope for stakeholders in the construction industry.

"This positive growth will continue if all industry players collaborate to deliver quality products that support infrastructure development in Indonesia," Irfan stated on Monday, November 25, 2024.

Irfan also emphasized the government's contribution through regular initiatives such as the annual Construction Indonesia 2024 exhibition. This event, held from November 6 to 8, 2024, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten, showcased over 150 brands and attracted around 15,000 visitors.

"This exhibition creates a strategic collaboration space to enhance infrastructure development through quality products," Irfan remarked. Deputy Minister of Public Works, Diana Kusumastuti, also underscored the importance of collaboration for innovation in the construction sector.

The construction sector in Indonesia has demonstrated its capability for collaboration and readiness to support infrastructure development, in alignment with the Asta Cita program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. "Collaboration is essential," he stated while concluding the event.

Abdul Muis, the Director General of Construction Development at the Ministry of Public Works, emphasized that collaboration has become a necessity within the construction industry. He also highlighted the importance of sustainability by advocating for the use of environmentally friendly technologies and materials.

BlueScope Indonesia, a leading steel manufacturer, is dedicated to supporting Indonesia's infrastructure development through high-quality steel products. The company continues to innovate with the latest technologies to meet the growing demands of the construction market.

With positive growth and strong collaboration between industry players and the government, the construction services sector is expected to remain a key pillar of national economic development. (putri@insightinnews.com)
