This collaboration involves the implementation of AWS technology in several management areas, including data processing, performance monitoring, and cybersecurity improvements. Erick expressed his hope that this partnership with the American cloud computing provider will assist SOEs in maximizing performance and delivering services more swiftly and efficiently. "Amazon Web Services (AWS) and SOEs have agreed to collaborate in enhancing the efficiency of various operational management processes within SOEs," he stated in a press release on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Erick noted that this initiative is expected to yield significant benefits for SOEs by reducing operational costs while simultaneously boosting their competitiveness in the future. He emphasized that the collaboration with AWS is highly strategic for the Ministry of SOEs, aligning with the ministry's commitment to promoting digital transformation that has been underway for the past five years. "This aligns with the ongoing digitalization efforts over the last five years, enabling SOEs to become more efficient and better equipped to face contemporary challenges," he remarked. Furthermore, the digitalization efforts of SOEs are in line with the directives from President Prabowo Subianto, who has urged state-owned enterprises to continue pursuing efficiency, given that SOEs are strategic national assets. "Digitalization is one of the primary pathways to achieve this," Erick concluded.
